Coventry City U21s defender Abel Alabi has joined Non-League side Tamworth FC on a one-month loan deal, expected to last until the new-year, when the clubs PDL fixtures will resume.
The youngster joined the club just over a year ago, from Irish side Waterford FC on a free transfer, and has scored once for the clubs U21s so far this season, after making the jump from the clubs U18s. Alabi has made eight appearances for the clubs U21s in the Professional Development League to date and has impressed.
With the young players currently out of action due to the winter break, getting crucial minutes at a mens senior level is vital for any players development, especially for a young centre-back, competing against much more experienced forwards.
