Player Biography
Young defender George Burroughs has been with the Skyblues since the age of seven, alongside his older brother Jack. The 20-year-old broke through to the clubs U18s, towards the end of the 2020/21 season and as a result, he signed his first professional contract with the club in May 2021.
Last season, he helped to play a key role in the clubs run to winning the 2021/22 Professional Development League title as well as having a strong season for the clubs U18s. He's featured frequently for the clubs U21s so far, but in September 2022, George Burroughs signed for National League North side AFC Telford United on a one-month youth loan which has since been extended until January 2023.
