Player Biography
German winger Marcel Hilssner joined the Skyblues back in July 2019, from German side SC Paderborn for a small undisclosed fee, believed to be roughly £300,000. He began in pre-season, making a decent start during a defeat against Swindon Town before seemingly disappearing away from our eyes.
He rarely featured throughout his time in England, until he signed for then-League Two side Oldham Athletic on a season-long-loan in January 2021, where he made twenty appearances, scoring once and assisting a further two. However, upon his return, he was transfer listed and moved back to Germany, during FSV Zwickau on loan. After scoring once in ten, Hilssner suffered an ACL injury and remains out of action and also in Germany recovering.
