Josh Eccles🏥

Versatile midfielder Josh Eccles is a Skyblues academy graduate and has played at every level throughout his climb to the first-team. He signed his first professional deal back in 2016, and even then, the potential was easy to spot. He made his first team debut for the club in 2018 EFL Trophy clash against Cheltenham Town.

Since then, he became a solid member of the clubs U23s, before having a six month loan spell at League One side Gillingham back in July 2020. Here he added some assists to his game and became one of the club's star players until he was eventually recalled and put into Coventry's first team. Last season he struggled with constant injuries just when he looked like breaking into the team. However, this season Eccles has really kicked on, putting some strong performances in, including a man of the match worthy performance in the recent victory against Cardiff City.
