Player Biography
Centre-back Kyle McFadzean joined the Skyblues in May 2019, following his release from then League One rivals Burton Albion. In his debut season, McFadzean had an outstanding campaign as the club stormed to the League One title. The following season was a tough first season back in the second tier, competing with some strong teammates like Dominic Hyam and Leo Ostigard, as the Skyblues stayed up.
Last season, McFadzean was utterly brilliant and had arguably one of his best ever season's in professional football, all at the age of 34, forming a very strong defensive partnership and stepping up as vice-captain as Coventry finished 12th. Following the injury to Liam Kelly, McFadzean has stepped up as captain, proving that he's ageing like a fine-wine.
